Why study economics?
Economics seem to be about the finance in big picture.
But actually,
economics can be used to answer simpler question in life
like
many books like Freakanomics , Naked Economics have portrayed.
One of the question is
Why does a pizza have a square shape
and not a circular shape like a pizza ?
The answer is done in economic way.
The box is made a square shape
as it is easier that way
and also
reduce the cost of production of the box
as it can be folded much more easily in a square shape
and not circular shape
so it is better to keep the box stock
on the shelf.
Also , in terms of convenience,
it is easier to pick up a pizza from the box
if the box is square and not circular.
Everything around us has a reason
why it has the shape it has now,
we just don't think about it
that is all.
