The blind man started his journey carrying the lighted lamp with him.
On the way, there was a storm.
He waited under a tree and resumed his journey after the storm.
Suddenly a stranger coming in the opposite direction collided with him
and both of them fell down on the ground.
The blind man shouted angrily,
“Couldn’t you see the lighted lamp in my hand, man? Are you blind?”
The stranger replied,
“I am not blind but your lamp was not burning.”
“I am sorry, dear”, said the blind man.
“I am blind and did not know that the flame was put off by the storm.”
We often blame others firsthand
when something unexpected happens,
without looking at the cause
that may come from ourselves.
There is nothing wrong blaming others
or ourselves
but
the best thing we should do
is to fix the problem that arises
not just pointing fingers.
The best thing about this story is that
the blind man put down his arrogance
and apologise
in the end.
So
whatever happens in life,
apology always softens the issues
but
sorry sometimes is hardest word to come out
though
when it comes out
only the good things will follow.
