Have you ever been to the funeral?
Why do we go there?
What were the monks praying?
Some may say that
we went there to pay respect for the dead
and listened to
the monk praying to make the soul
go to the resting place.
But in reality,
we went to the funeral
to pay our condolescence for the family of the dead
and at the same time
listen to the monks
teaching us to learn from the dead
that nobody
can escape death
no matter who you are
how successful and important you may be
the end will be equal.
Also
No matter what we have achieved
or gained or met in life
we can never take anything with us
as you can see
the hand of the dead will open out
and will no longer
be able to hold anything
not even one coin!!!
In the end
we get to learn
to be more careful about life
and live a good life
while we still can
also
to do whatever we can for our loved ones
and others.
So that
when the time comes
we will be able to say
that we don't have any unfinished business.
